Care Worker Survey: What are you most worried about right now?

Published on August 16, 2020

Care Workers: Canada's immigration laws are unjust! The English language and education requirements are too high and are unfair. We speak enough English and we do NOT need Canadian post-secondary education to do our jobs well! Because of these unfair requirements, many of us cannot apply for PR and we will lose our immigration status.

We are also dealing with the impact of the coronavirus crisis! Some of us have lost our jobs and we are worried about finishing our 24 months of service or finding an employer who will get an LMIA. Some of us still have a job, but we cannot leave our employer's homes and we are forced to work all the time without proper pay.

WE ARE NOT MACHINES, WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS! We demand #StatusForAll NOW!

Please answer this survey if you are an in-home Care Worker on a temporary permit or have lost your immigration status. Filling out this survey will help make Care Workers' voices heard! The survey is hosted by the Caregivers' Action Centre. Information from the survey will help us make sure the government, including Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister of Immigration Mendocino, hears about Care Worker issues.

The survey is only complete when you click submit! All responses will be kept private and confidential. Click here or below for the survey!
