You are invited to join care workers for an online social on Sunday, November 29 at 1pm EST. We are all feeling isolated right now, so let's come together online to support each other and have fun! Come ready to sing, dance, and wear your best outfit!
We are into the second wave of COVID-19 and we are tired! We are working long hours - sometimes 12 hours a day! - with reduced or no extra pay. Some of us are trapped inside our employer’s homes and not allowed to leave the house to buy groceries, send money back home, or see our friends and family. We are worried and stressed about losing our jobs because our families rely on us to support them.
Some of us have lost our jobs and are having problems finding a new employer. We are having difficulties accessing EI, income supports and health care. We are separated from our families and worried about if they will become sick or if we will ever see them again.
You are not alone! Many current and former migrant care workers are going through this! Let's break the isolation! Join us for an online social where we will connect with each other, share our experiences, have some fun, and fight for our rights! Register below!
Please share our facebook event and invite your friends!
